  • Graduate of Shepherd University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work. (1983) 

  • Master of Arts degree in Psychology from Hood College in Frederick, Maryland where I graduated with honors. (1991)

  • Doctorate of Psychology degree from California Southern University where I graduated with a top honor of Summa Cum Laude. (2005)

  • Currently licensed in the state of West Virginia at the Bachelors Level as a Licensed Social Worker and at the Masters Level as a Licensed Professional Counselor.

  • Recognized by the West Virginia Board of Examiners in Counseling as an Approved Licensed Professional Supervisor (ALPS). I provide clinical supervision to those individuals seeking counseling licensure in the state of West Virginia.

  • Member of the American Counseling Association, the West Virginia Licensed Professional Counselors Association, the West Virginia Counseling Association, and the West Virginia Play Therapy Association.

  • Over 30 years of expertise in the West Virginia Family Court System dealing with divorce and custody cases.  I have also provided expert testimony in West Virginia Circuit Court in child abuse and neglect cases. I have been recognized as an expert witness in cases involving child custody in high conflict divorce cases as well as cases that involve abuse and neglect situations.

  • I have a total of 40 years of experience providing treatment to adults, children, adolescents and families. Every two years, I attend approximately 35 continuing education hours to fulfill my license requirements and to continue my professional development.
